There has been a free calculator in Virginia since before 2014. In 2014, the VaSupportCalc site was born when support for the older free calculators was ending. Since 2014, the VaSupportCalc site has been updated as the Virginia legislature modified the child and spousal support calculations. The site has been maintained with lots of contributed time along with generous personal and law firm contributions. Site advertisements were added later to meet some of the financial needs of the site.

Recently, a mediator in West Virginia wondered why West Virginia didn’t have the same free service for parents, mediators, lawyers, and courts in West Virginia. So we rolled up our sleeves and built West Virginia Support Calc. Try out the calculator. It’s not just approximate as many online calculators for lots of states are. It follows the West Virginia statutes exactly–to the penny!

WVaSupportCalc will stay around as long as it can be a breakeven project. That means it is totally dependent on support from you.
